Interview With Sumit Sao

Q.1) Please introduce yourself to ExactBlogging readers?

Thanks, Piyush for giving me this opportunity to share my blogging knowledge with your readers.

Hello Friends, I’m Sumit Sao, a part-time blogger, affiliate marketer and founder of BloggingLift.com

My main motive behind creating BloggingLift is to share my blogging knowledge and experience with my blogging buddies. So that they don’t make any mistake and get success in blogging in their first attempt.

I create this Facebook Group to help my blogger friends. You can join this group for FREE and ask as many questions as you want to get the solution of your blogging-related problem from me and other expert bloggers of our group.

Q.2) What’s the #1 reason for starting Blogginglift.com?

Frankly speaking, When I started my Blog BloggingLift.com. At that time, my main aim was only to make money from my blog. But now my main aim is to help my blogger friends.

I’m not saying that I don’t want to make money from my blog. Yes, I want to make money from my blog but my main motto is to help my blogging buddies by sharing correct information.

I also started a Blogger Interview Series on my blog. It’ll definitely help my readers to get some unique Blogging, SEO and Affiliate Marketing tips from professional bloggers.

Q.3) Is blogging your profession or just a hobby?

I’m a part-time blogger and I really love to share whatever I’ve learned with blog readers and Facebook Group members. That’s why I started a Blogging tips series on my Facebook group and successfully shared 70+ blogging tips with my group members.

Q.4) How much time did you put into writing content in 2019?

In 2019 till now I’ve written only 2-3 article due to my health problem and bad time management. But from this month, I’ll try to publish at least 2 articles every month.

Q.5) Tell me about some of the people you’ve met while working on your blog?

After starting BloggingLift.com, I met many awesome bloggers. This list is too big. But I want to share some of my best blogging buddies names here:

  1. Santanu Debnath
  2. Saurab Tiwari
  3. Navin Rao
  4. Rahul Bhichher
  5. Santosh Gairola
  6. Umer Qureshi and many more.

Q.6) How you first got involved in with blogging?

I know that it’s funny but It all happened due to my interest in HTML web page designing.

During the last semester of my engineering (in 2015), I learned about HTML web page designing and decided to make a web page using it.

I designed a webpage by writing HTML codes and then I purchased a domain name, hosting and created my first single-page website. At that time, I didn’t know anything about blogging, SEO, Affiliate Marketing, online money-making methods, etc.

One day when I visited ShoutMeLoud first time then I think that they’ve also created this entire website by writing HTML codes. But after reading his blog, I knew what blogging is and then I started an educational blog on Google Blogspot and after 3 unsuccessful blogs finally, I started BloggingLift.com

Q.7) Can you name some of your favourite bloggers and explain why they are your favourites?

This list is really big. I’m following many bloggers. but I want to share some of my favourite blogger’s names here.

  1. Brian Dean: I follow him because of his extraordinary SEO skills.
  2. Ankit Singla: I like his writing skill.
  3. Anil Agarwal: He is one of the most popular bloggers. I’m following his blog from the beginning of my blogging journey and I’ve learned lots of things form his blog.

Q.8) How is your daily schedule/how many hours you work on your blog?

It’s difficult for me to manage time because of my 8 AM – 6 PM job. I work only 1-2 hours on my blog and Facebook Group.

I spend most of my time in my Facebook Group and Apart from this, I love to spend my time to help my blogging buddies who contact me on Facebook Messanger every day.

Q.9) What do you find most challenging about blogging about your topic?

The main challenge for me in my initial days of blogging is that it’s very difficult for me to rank my articles and bring traffic to my blog because the competition is very high in my niche.

But now many of my articles are ranking in google 1st page and in Featured Snippet and I’m getting a good amount of traffic to my blog.

Right now the main problem is to manage time for blogging.

Q.10) Describe your writing process, from concept to publishing. How do you stay motivated?

I have created some steps which help me to write a detailed and helpful article which can rank easily on Google.

STEP 1: The very first step is to find the topic idea. Suppose I find a topic “increase website traffic”

STEP 2: Then I enter my target keyword i.e. “increase website traffic” in google and I check top 10 ranking articles.

It helps me to understand the user intent and then I try to find what is missing in these articles. So that I can create a better article then these top 10 ranking articles.

STEP 3:  Now it’s time to find long-tail keyword for my blog post.

I don’t waste too much time on keyword research. What I do is I enter the URL of the top 3 articles in Ahrefs.

It gives me 100+ keywords list immediately for which these sites are ranking.

STEP 4: Now from here, I select 5-10 best and easy to rank long-tail keywords.

STEP 5: Then I Create a layout for my blog post i.e. Main Heading and Subheadings.

It helps me to understand which images and screenshots I’m going to use in this article.

STEP 6: I collect and compress all images. Then I start writing my blog post and at last, I upload all the images.

I hope now you understood how I write articles for my blog.

Q.11) Can you tell me some of your strengths that really helped you in blogging?

My main strength in blogging is the love and support of my blogging buddies and my blog lovers. Whenever I receive email and messages on Facebook from my followers that they love my blog and especially my blogging tips which I share on the Facebook group then these emails and messages motivate me to do more.

Q.12) What do you do when you aren’t working on your blog?

I spend most of my time with my family. And I also love to watch motivational videos of Sandeep Maheshwari, Vivek Bindra, etc.

Q.13) What is your greatest achievement outside of blogging?

My biggest achievement is that I’ve made many good friends like Santanu Debnath, Navin Rao, Saurabh Tiwari, Rahul, Santosh Gairola Umer Qureshi, etc.

Q.14) Did you Start blogging with a business plan?

No, I did not. As I told you earlier, It all started because of my interest in creating a webpage by writing HTML codes. At that time, I didn’t even know that we can make money from our blog.

Q.15) What’s your suggestion for my blog? (If any)

Your blog is awesome. All the contents are well written. I have only one suggestion for you that increase the size of your logo and menu font size. It’s not looking good in the mobile device.
