What are Keywords?
Keywords are search terms that we type into Google or any other search engine.
For example, if I want to know about best keyword research tools then I’ll type and search this term on Google or any other search engine.
So the words I have written is the keyword.
Types of Keywords
Keywords are mainly categorized into three types; short tail keywords, medium tail keywords, and long tail keywords.
There are many types of keyword apart from this like Fresh Keywords, Evergreen Keywords, Geo-Targeting Keywords, Product Defining Keywords, etc.
If you want to know more about these types of keywords then comment me below “YES I want”.
Short tail keywords
These are the keywords that have only one or two words like shoes, men’s shoes these keywords have high search volume but also they have very high competition.
Medium tail keywords
These types of keyword have three or four words. They have a lower amount of search volume and the competition is high and low both.
These types of keyword are very specific and have four or more words. They have low search volume but also they have low competition.
So you can easily rank on these keywords they will give you a targeted audience to your website.
Now the question is that which keyword is best then my answer is medium tail keywords and long tail keywords.
If you are a beginner then I’ll suggest you work on Long Tail Keywords because they have more search intent and it is likely easy to rank these keywords quickly.

Importance Of Keyword Research
Now the question is why it is important?

Keyword Research is the most important step in SEO because it helps you to find a good keyword for your blog to rank in search enigne and starts bringing traffic to your website.
If you will not focus on keyword research then you will not be able to rank your article in any search engine.
So, my dear friends, this is the main reason behind keyword research.

What is Search Intent?
Search intent, also known as user intent, this is the hidden reason behind a search query.
In today’s time, Search Intent is also a very big ranking factor most of the bloggers do not know about this…
In simple words, when you type a search term in Google, what are you actually searching for?
There are many reasons behind your search query like you want to know something, you want to buy something or any other else.
Let me show you an example:
As you can see in the above image I have searched a keyword on google that is “Shoes”
So can you tell me what I want to know about shoes?
Obviously no, because there is no search intent…
But, if I search “buy Nike shoes” it means I want to buy Nike shoes here is search intent.
So always remember that your selected keyword has search intent.
Types of Search Intent
There are 4 Types of Search Intent:
1) Informational 2) Navigational 3) Commercial Investigation 4) Transactional
These types of search queries are used when a user wants to know the answer to something. These queries are generally question-based queries. For example:
- How to start a blog?
- What is blogging?
- Ideas to lose weight
- Tips to write an essay
These types of search queries are used when a user wants to go to a specific site or web page.
For example, If I want to find the website of Lenovo then I simply search Lenovo on google to visit their website.
This search intent may include the name of a brand, the name of a product, the name of a service, etc.
These types of search queries are used when a user wants to buy a product or service and he wants to get information about those products.
For example, If I want to buy web hosting then I’ll search keywords like top 10 best web hosting, best web hosting, [hosting name] review, Comparison between [hosting name] vs [hosting name], etc.
I hope now you have learned many things about search intent.
These types of search queries are used when a user wants to buy a product or service. For example, buy a2 hosting, buy Realme 3 Pro, buy boya m1 mic, etc.
Important Factors To Keep In Mind While Doing Keyword Research
Keyword Competition – Whenever do keyword research keep in mind that the keyword you are selecting may be less competitive. If you will choose a high competitive keyword then it would be difficult to rank on that keyword.
Search Volume – Search volume shows, how often a keyword is searched in a month or a year. This is also a very important factor to keep in mind because if you will work on a keyword that has 0 search volume so what profit you will get.
So, always choose a keyword that has a minimum 1000 search volume monthly.
SERP Difficulty – This is the manual method to check the difficulty of any keyword with the help of this method you can know that the keyword you have chosen is really hard or not.
Long Tail Keywords – As I said before if you are a beginner then you should always go for Long tail keywords because these types of keywords are very easy to rank.
